Stone’s Throw, Polzeath
We came to this new-build project when it was a finished, but empty home. The client had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve and our brief was to add luxurious furnishings to achieve a ready-to-live home. The client wanted to consciously move away from a conventional approach, erring on a more eclectic and unconventional use of shape.
We opted for a combination of marble and brass, highlighted with dusky pinks and greys. We added geometric shapes in the form of flooring and rugs, all enhanced by some unique structural lighting.
Although a family home, we were asked to keep visual technology out of the main living area and so a Jethro Jackson original, hung above a sleek woodburner, created the focal point in front of two vast sofas. The seating was kept deliberately low to make the most of the incredible vista across the entirety of Polzeath beach.
