The Nook, St Minver
We worked on this project with owner and architect, Angus Webster. This pied-à-terre was reimagined with amazing attention to detail. As an investment property to be rented as a luxury holiday home, the challenge was to add both interest and functionality into a relatively small space. Angus had already created a clever layout that maximised the area, so we opted for minimalistic white walls, broken up with a series of geometric shapes that ran from the bespoke herring-bone panelling, through the tiling and on into the soft furnishings. Tonally, we were influenced by a Scandi feel, and used blocks of monochrome colour that worked in harmony as opposed to against the these patterns, creating a series of soft shadows. Due to its size, rather than adding in extra dressing we celebrated the everyday, displaying the kitchen crockery to honour its beauty and using foliage and house plants for dimension.
